On June 5th and 6th, ten choreographer-scholars got together to show new work, collaborate, perform, discuss, and write about dance. This was the second edition of Field Studies at Chez Bushwick and we anticipate an annual event moving to other venues around the country. The ten artists included Alfonso Cervera, Amanda Waal, Ann Mazzocca, Cydney Watson, Chelsea Rector, Hannah Schwadron, Marilyn Maywald Yahel, Rachel Carrico, Rachel Thorne Germond, and Rebecca Pappas. Choreographers gathered from around the country including California, Florida, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and of course, New York!
