At Field Studies, a laboratory for choreographer-scholars to move new projects forward in an environment of collaboration and experimentation, I presented "Suspended Experience," a piece exploring new ideas regarding my relationship to embodied vocabulary including Afro-Caribbean folklore and classical ballet, my experience and memories of the Caribbean, and nobel laureate Derek Walcott's poetry.
